We understand toddlers and preschoolers! With an impossible amount of energy, they are up and about, trying to understand the world around them and learning new skills all the time.
They need to learn and they need to be taught… but let’s face it, as a Mum with little children, finding the right resources to teach them can be daunting, exhausting and time-consuming. Chances are, you’ve heard enough colour, shape, counting and alphabet songs to last you a lifetime by the time they’re three.
You’ve probably wished for something more. So have we!
The world is rich and brimming with fascinating facts. Shouldn’t we give our kids the opportunity to explore this more fully? Isn’t your child capable of a little more, a little deeper knowledge?
We wondered whether there was a way to help children to start using the skills they have been taught and do need to know, in a constructive and enriching way that goes that little bit deeper.
Hi! I'm Laura
I’m a Learning Designer and Teacher, and the Creative Director at Lift Learning.
I taught Communications at University level and have an MA in Education. I’ve created lots of courses and educational products, for both kids and adults.
With a little one of my own, I’m constantly on the lookout for ways to teach new skills, so I’ve created what I wished for!
I try to incorporate not just the essentials but to stretch children’s capabilities, teach them new vocabulary, and show them some of the weird and wonderful things about the world along the way.
In the content I create for little learners, you’ll find social-emotional skills, movement, music, climate awareness, and as much more of the good stuff as I can pack in! I can’t wait to hear about your results and the creative ways you’ve used the material with your little ones.
